SENNHEISER AUDIO RETAIL STORE
Boutique Retail Outlet, 10,900 SF
Beverly Hills, California
Design Architect: Syntax

A boutique retail outlet for the German high end audio equipment company: The ground floor level is conceived as an open plan retail space. A sound studio is hovering in the space above as an articulated object.  The company’s commitment to the world of sophisticated audio technology is reflected in the architectural design, from schematic concept to tectonic detail: The building envelope is minimal yet geometrically complex, a curtain wall composed of dually curved frosted glass panels. The bulge in the curvature on the upper level corresponds to the geometry of the sound studio inside. The company logo stretches across the front façade and is cut in the glass panels.
